Coach Shane Francis was selected by his peers to be the Teacher of the Year for Ketchum High School. Coach Knoten presented him with a prize package in April.
Coach Francis is completing his 4th year at Ketchum Public Schools. This year Mr. Francis taught Aviation Technology I & II and Driver's Ed as well as helping coach football, powerlifting, and baseball.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and is currently seeking his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University. He is an avid fisherman and has earned his student pilot's license and is working to obtain a private pilot's license.
Teachers of the Year from all schools will be recognized at the end of the year and one of them will be named District Teacher of the Year.
