Congratulations to Jentri Huggins, the ODAA Student of the Month for February 2026! Fascinated by all things aerospace, Jentri has now completed four discovery flights and participated in summer ground school training. These experiences have strengthened her foundation in aviation and confirmed her long-term goal of becoming a pilot. Her passion for aviation was sparked during flights to the Bahamas and Florida, and solidified after being invited into the cockpit during a layover. From that moment on, she knew aviation would be a part of her future. What truly distinguishes Jentri, however, is her ability to integrate multiple passions into a clear and purposeful career vision. In addition to aviation, she is deeply committed to healthcare has completed the CNA and RNA programs at Northeastern Tech. Her goal of becoming a flight nurse represents a rare and admirable convergence of service, skill, and ambition—combining her desire to save lives with her passion for flight.

As a member of the inaugural Aviation Class at Ketchum High four years ago, Jentri helped establish the standard for excellence for this newly established program. Since that first year, she has been recognized as the Outstanding Aviation Student every year, a distinction earned not only through academic performance, but also through her reliability, initiative, and leadership. Jentri is deeply engaged in the broader aviation community. By participating in experiences with both Nordam and the Pryor Regional Airport, as well as attending Student Aero Days, Women in Aviation events, and Aero Oklahoma at the Capitol, Jentri has gotten to learn first-hand from industry professionals, expanding her understanding of aerospace careers, and connecting with the aviation community at large.
Jentri hopes to inspire others, especially young students, to believe they can pursue more than one passion and succeed. As she says, “You don’t have to choose between your dreams—if you work hard, you can make room for all of them.”
In nominating Jentri, her aviation instructor, Brian McLain noted, “Jentri possesses a unique and clear sense of purpose that has guides her decisions. In every setting, she is dependable, driven, humble, and forward-thinking. She leads by example, manages responsibility with maturity, and consistently elevates those around her. I am confident she will continue to represent our school, this community, and the ODAA with distinction .”
