Come out and support the Warrior Baseball Program on Saturday!

Reminders!

Cynthia Lopez has been nominated for a Warrior Win! Her nominator says Mrs. Lopez has taken on so much this year and is working hard to perfect the “ins and outs” of our RTI system! She always has a giant smile on her face and LOVES working with the kids! We are lucky to have her on our team of amazing educators. Way to go, Mrs. Lopez!

Mrs. Callison has been nominated for a Warrior Win! Her nomination highlights how she transforms her room to make reading come to life. During her Human Body unit, her classroom becomes a surgical floor to dissect sentences to practice parts of speech in language. Students are equipped with lab coats and surgical masks to create body systems. The room is divided into small surgical sections by hanging white sheets from the ceiling. She also transforms her room into a Viking ship in order to study the Viking era. She brings to life how Norsemen used rivers and oceans to explore Europe for trading, raiding and conquests. She strategically teaches so that students will interact, engage, and remember her lessons. She always has a giant smile on her face and LOVES working with the kids!
Congratulations on your Warrior Win, Mrs. Callison!

We are pleased to present the KES Students of the Month for January, Lydia Banker and Brianna Wilson, both from the house of Isibindi! Way to go, girls! We are proud of you. Keep up the great work!

We are thrilled to share with our families and community that Ketchum Elementary made an A on its state report card, which is rare! All Oklahoma schools are assessed each year on seven indicators that show how well they serve students. KES staff has been working hard to reach this goal through data-driven, evidence-based instruction. This, combined with parental support, good attendance, and students' hard work, has enabled us to reach our goals. Go WARRIORS!!!

Tina Fisher has been nominated for a Warrior Win. She does a fantastic job keeping our building looking bright, shiny, and organized, not to mention smelling good. Not only does she take pride in all she does, she takes care of her colleagues. On the first day back from break she went to every room in our huge building and turned up the thermostats so staff would be welcomed with a nice, warm environment. We are so blessed to have Tina on our team at KES!

We are excited to see our students today after the long winter break! Bundle up, everyone!

Let's bring it! ❤️💙💚🖤

Congratulations to two of our top-notch educators, Samantha Vandiver and Bobbie Callison on their remarkable achievement of completing the KPS cadre program! This program focuses on fostering collaboration and implementing evidence-based teaching practices to support all new employees in the district. Dr. Barber and Dr. Simons of Collaborating for Results, Inc. offered invaluable guidance and feedback throughout their journey. It was a pleasure to witness Dr. Simons present their well-deserved certificates of completion!

It is homecoming time!
