KES Transportation Procedures
Pick-up and Drop-Off Procedures

1st-5th grade use the cafeteria drop-off in the mornings. Preschool and Kindergarten use their own drop-off at the Early Childhood Center. Please remain in your car. Since we can not let traffic back up on highway 85, parents need to turn down Main Street then Ealum, or Broadway for PK-K to access the pick up/drop-off line. DO NOT ENTER FROM SEXTON STREET. Our resource officer will be present to help with any issues. Cars will not be let into the line from Sexton or from the highway. See the map above.
Drop Off (AM) - There are 2 drop-offs. The cafeteria loop is for 1st-5th grade students. The second drop off is at the Early Childhood Center entrance for PK-K students only. Staff will be there to make sure students unload safely. Please stay in your car. It is helpful to work with your child on procedures for drop off. This includes unbuckling themselves and having everything in their backpack ready to go when it is their turn to exit the vehicle. We try to make this as smoothly and stress free as possible as many of you are headed to work and have schedules to keep.
Pick Up (PM) - There are 2 pick-up locations. PK-K will load at the Early Childhood entrance at 3:00. 1st-5th will load in front of the building beginning at 3:20. Because this is a one-way street from 3:00-4:00 only, you are not permitted to line up until 3:00. This will be strictly enforced.
