   The Ketchum Public Schools Board of Education would like to welcome Dandy Risman to the board.  Mr. Risman ran unopposed in the February Election and will serve as a general member.  Dandy and Joyce have two children that attend Ketchum Public Schools, they are Parker 1st grade and Madison pre-k.

Help us take precautions to prevent the spread of MRSA and other Staph infections.

Staff infections, including MRSA can cause skin infections that may look like a pimple, boil or spider bite, and can be red, swollen, painful or have pus or other drainage.  More serious infections may cause pneumonia, bloodstream infections or surgical wound infections.

How to protect ourselves from MRSA and other staph infections

• Practice good hygiene (for example keep your hands clean by washing with soap and water or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, and shower immediately after participating in exercise.

• Cover skin trauma such as abrasions or cuts with a clean dry bandage until healed.

• Avoid sharing personal items (such as towels or razors) that come into contact with your bare skin; and use a barrier (clothing or a towel) between your skin and shared equipment such as weight-training benches.

• Maintain a clean environment by establishing cleaning procedures for frequently touched surfaces and surfaces that come into direct contact with people's skin.

PARENTS PLEASE HELP US TO PROMOTE GOOD HAND WASHING HABITS.

PLEASE COVER ALL CUTS OR ABRASIONS BEFORE SENDING YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL

PLEASE NOTIFY US AT ANY TIME YOUR CHILD IS DIAGNOSED WITH ANY MRSA OR ANY STAPH INFECTION
